A hint for the client right under the field in the admin

instructions="Help text"

The client does not know that the title fits forty characters or that a price is written with its currency sign. instructions shows this in grey right under the field, where they fill it in.

Where it goes

On the same element as the field mark: fld-text, opt-link, or a whole list or group.

It works at any level, including a field inside an fld-loop row.

Example: the drinks menu

Markup menu.html
<h1 fld-text="Title" instructions="Up to 40 characters">Menu</h1>
<div class="cards" fld-loop="Drinks">
  <article class="card">
    <h3 fld-text="Name">Latte</h3>
    <span fld-text="Price"
          instructions="With the currency sign: $4.20">$4.20</span>
  </article>
</div>
In the admin Pages → Menu
Title MenuUp to 40 characters
Drinks
1
Name Latte
Price $4.20With the currency sign: $4.20
2
Name Cappuccino
Price $3.90
Add Row
On the site menu page
Menu
Latte $4.20
Cappuccino $3.90

Only whoever edits the page sees the hints; the site does not show them.

What matters

  • Keep it short and practical: the format, the length, where it shows on the site.
  • The build removes the attribute from the site’s markup, so visitors never see the hint.

Common mistakes

The build log is the “Logs” tab of your project on themeforge.pro; the free markup check shows the same notes.

Not like this
<p class="notice" instructions="Shown on the home page">Open every day</p>

A hint on an element without a field: there is no field to show it under, so it disappears. The log stays silent.

Like this
<p class="notice" fld-text="Notice" instructions="Shown on the home page">Open every day</p>

Next to a field mark.
