Keep designing in Webflow. Run the site on WordPress.

Mark the editable parts with custom attributes in Webflow’s element settings and publish. ThemeForge builds a WordPress theme with those parts as fields; when the design changes in Webflow, one button in wp-admin brings it over and the content stays.

Fields on free Secure Custom Fields or your ACF PRO · interactions keep working · $20/month

Short answer

Yes. In Webflow, select an element, open its settings and add a custom attribute such as fld-text = Title. Publish to your webflow.io address, add that address to ThemeForge, and you get a WordPress theme where the element is an admin field. Styles, images, fonts and Webflow interactions come along; Webflow’s own form handling is replaced by WordPress.

How to convert

From a published Webflow site to WordPress

  1. Step 1

    Add attributes in the Designer

Element settings → Custom attributes: name the field (fld-text, fld-image, fld-loop for lists). Name pages after their WordPress templates where it matters, such as single for a blog post.

  2. Step 2

    Publish and preview

Publish to webflow.io, add the address to your ThemeForge project and open the WordPress admin in your browser with every field filled.

  3. Step 3

    Install and keep designing

Subscribe, install the theme, then go on working in Webflow. After each publish, press “Update” in wp-admin: a new build arrives and a failed one rolls back by itself.

What comes over

More than the static pages

Design

  • Classes, styles and breakpoints as published
  • Images and fonts copied from Webflow’s CDN into the theme
  • Interactions and animations, old and new engine

Content structure

  • Page fields and lists from your attributes
  • Collection pages as templates for posts and custom post types
  • Site settings from a theme-options page
  • Menus by name

Forms

  • Native Webflow form blocks keep working
  • Entries saved in WordPress, not sent to Webflow
  • Delivery by email, Telegram or webhook

Fields engine

  • Free Secure Custom Fields, installed with the theme
  • Or ACF / ACF PRO if the site already has it
Limits

Know these before you start

CMS items are not copied

Collection pages become WordPress templates. The items themselves are created or imported in WordPress.

Webflow Ecommerce and Memberships

They do not carry over. Build the shop pages in your design and run them on WooCommerce instead.

Attributes live on elements

Every editable element needs its attribute in Webflow, including every row of a list you want imported.

Questions

Webflow to WordPress, answered

Do I keep my Webflow plan?

Only as long as you design there. ThemeForge reads the published webflow.io site; the live site runs on your WordPress hosting.

Do Webflow interactions keep working?

Yes. The interaction runtime and its data are carried into the theme, including the newer GSAP-based interactions.

Is ACF PRO required?

No. Fields run on the free Secure Custom Fields plugin, which the theme installs itself. If the site already has ACF or ACF PRO, the theme uses it.

What happens when I change the design in Webflow?

Publish, then press “Update” in wp-admin. Templates and styles are replaced; fields and everything your client typed stay.

Can the site be multilingual?

Yes, on the WordPress side with Polylang or WPML. More about languages.
