What is new in ThemeForge

The changes you will notice, newest first. Changes inside the theme reach a site when its owner updates the theme from the project; nothing on your sites is updated without you.

October 2026

  • Preview

A free account now opens your theme's real WordPress admin in the browser with the “Preview WP admin” button — with fields and data, in about 20 seconds, kept for 4 days — also for projects uploaded as a ZIP or served from localhost, while downloading and updating the theme need a subscription.

  • Languages

German texts in the panel and account now consistently use the informal “du”, and themes ship two German translations — informal and formal (“Sie”) for sites set to formal German.

  • Site

themeforge.pro has a new public site in six languages — home page, conversion pages for each source, feature pages, pricing, “How it works”, a page for developers, the Warm Corner example and an llms.txt — and the older docs pages use the new header.

  • Forms

Form submissions no longer also go to Webflow's servers, and the theme no longer intercepts WooCommerce login, registration and password-reset forms or cookie-consent panels, so customer accounts are created normally and no empty entries appear.

  • Forms

A submission that failed to reach Telegram, email or a webhook for a temporary reason is now resent automatically (from 5 minutes up to 24 hours later), and every submission has a “Send to all channels again” button.

  • Shop

Shop templates behave as intended again: in-stock and out-of-stock blocks follow the actual stock, a nested attribute block shows only where it applies, the category menu hides empty categories and keeps every name, category breadcrumbs place the separator correctly, and order lines are numbered 1, 2, 3.

  • Fields

A new “Previous theme code” tab moves the custom PHP, CSS and JS left in the theme you switched from into the theme's protected user files after safety checks, and a button with data-ajax-load now loads a template part without reloading the page.

  • Forms

Spam protection that needs no keys or outside services now covers the theme's forms (hidden trap, fill time, links, rate limit, a Spam folder; on by default for new sites) and WordPress's own comments, WooCommerce reviews, registration and password reset (on by default everywhere), and the captcha speaks the visitor's language and uses their alphabet.

  • Fields

Home page fields now appear on any page that uses the “Main Page” template, not only on the page set as the front page — for example, a separate home page in a second language.

September 2026

  • Fields

display="table" now gives a table layout to nested repeaters and groups in wp-admin too, and opt-* fields placed inside a loop or group no longer create empty sub-fields that output nothing.

  • Updates

Theme builds no longer silently lose pages — page downloads stop hanging and retry after network errors — and an attribute next to another attribute that already holds PHP no longer swallows the element's content or breaks the theme.

August 2026

  • Fields

Theme settings now live in one ThemeForge menu as four screens (General code, Custom Post Types & Taxonomies, Queries, Site settings) that each save only their own fields, with rewritten labels translated into all seven admin languages — and the Ukrainian translation of the theme now actually loads.

  • Fields

The new fld-no-import attribute keeps a field's value out of “Load data”, so re-importing never overwrites what the owner typed, and themes no longer carry 2 MB of sample images or mix up two different files with the same name.

  • Updates

Theme updates now survive hosting time limits (an interrupted update is checked automatically on the next admin visit) and switch to delivery through your browser when the host blocks the upload request, instead of failing with a misleading message.

  • AI

Any AI chat can now read ThemeForge's markup rules from one link, themeforge.pro/ai (in modules, including rules for building a site from scratch), and check its markup for free with POST /api/validate-markup before a theme is built.

  • AI

An AI agent can send a site archive to POST /api/projects/<id>/build and get back a ready theme that carries its own source, so the Site Editor (now full-screen) and “Update theme from project” work right after installation, and the new /docs/site-source guide explains this workflow in six languages.

  • Forms

The Forms section now has five tabs (Entries, Forms, Destinations, Delivery log, Settings), shows every delivery attempt with the reason for a failure in plain words and a resend button, lets you move Telegram, the auto-reply and the main notification email into destinations with one click, and CSV export and file fields work again.

  • Forms

When a site switches to a ThemeForge theme, forms from every form system found on it are detected, you choose which one to use on a screen that shows each one's recipients, and past submissions can be imported into Form entries.

  • Fields

Crawler-specific “noindex” tags copied from the source site (for Googlebot, Bingbot, Yandex and others) are now removed from generated themes, so a live site is no longer quietly kept out of search.

  • Forms

Submissions can be sent to any webhook through delivery destinations, with ready presets for Slack, Zapier, Make, Discord and n8n that you find by search, including in Russian and by synonyms.

  • Shop

Catalog pages with variable products send one request instead of one per card, choosing a variation in a catalog card updates it again, whole-card links keep their address, and the built-in AJAX product filter works on several pages of the same post type.

  • Fields

Comments and WooCommerce product reviews (with star ratings and a verified-purchase badge) are now printed with your own layout, while WordPress keeps handling threads, moderation and submission.

  • Shop

The new wp="var-attrs" attribute shows a product's variation attributes automatically, skipping those you laid out by hand, so a new attribute no longer requires changing the layout and rebuilding the theme.

  • Fields

The “Add block” popup of Flexible Content fields shows a preview of each layout instead of a list of names, with no extra plugin.
