A WooCommerce shop in your own design

Lay out the shop pages in HTML or Webflow, mark them up, install the free WooCommerce plugin, and the theme turns your layout into a working store. Products, prices and stock are managed in WooCommerce, the way shop owners already know.

WooCommerce is free · no paid shop plugins · $20/month for ThemeForge

Short answer

Yes. Name your shop pages after their WordPress templates (single-product, archive-product, page-cart, page-checkout, page-my-account), mark the product loop, price, gallery and buttons with shop attributes, and build the theme. With WooCommerce active, the catalog, product pages, cart and checkout work in your design, with no page builder.

What works

The whole store, built from your layout

Catalog

  • Product grid from your card design
  • Category pages with their own image and text
  • Sorting, products per page, load more
  • Product filter by attributes and price

Product page

  • Gallery, price, sale price and SKU
  • Variations: color, size and any other attribute
  • Quantity and add to cart
  • Related products and upsells

Buying

  • Cart page and mini cart
  • Coupons and totals
  • Checkout with WooCommerce’s payment methods
  • Customer account

Extras

  • Wishlist with the free YITH Wishlist plugin
  • Product reviews with ratings
  • The cart counter stays right behind page caching
How to set it up

From a shop layout to orders

  1. Step 1

    Lay out the shop pages

Design the catalog, one product, the cart and the checkout as ordinary pages. Page names tell ThemeForge which WooCommerce template each one becomes.

  2. Step 2

    Mark them up

Add shop attributes to the product card, price, gallery, variation choices and buttons, by hand or through your AI assistant reading themeforge.pro/ai.

  3. Step 3

    Install WooCommerce

Build and install the theme, activate the free WooCommerce plugin and add products. The store works in your design from the first product.

Limits

What to plan for

Shop pages are marked up in the source

The theme does not invent a catalog or checkout layout: each shop page you want in your design has to exist in your HTML or Webflow project.

External (affiliate) products

Products that link to another store are not supported yet. Simple and variable products are.

Payments and shipping

They come from WooCommerce and its plugins. Your design sets the look of the checkout; the payment methods are the ones you enable in WooCommerce.

One currency

Several languages work; several currencies need a separate WooCommerce plugin.

Questions

WooCommerce themes, answered

Do I need paid plugins for the shop?

No. WooCommerce is free, and so is the YITH Wishlist plugin the wishlist uses. The product filter is built into the theme.

Where does my client manage products?

In WooCommerce, as usual: products, prices, stock, orders and coupons. ThemeForge only shapes how they look.

Can the shop be multilingual?

Yes, with Polylang: product translations share price and stock, the cart follows the visitor’s language, and order emails go out in the language of the order. More about languages.

What happens to the shop when I change the design?

Products, orders and customers live in WooCommerce, not in the theme. Rebuild the theme from the new design and the shop keeps all of them.

Can I start with a ready shop design?

Any shop layout works as long as its pages are in HTML or Webflow. Mark it up once; after that, every rebuild keeps the same fields.
